Open Afternoon - 20th November 2017

Today the school welcomed a record number of prospective parents with children due to start school in September 2018. Each family received a guided tour by some of our Year 6 Pupils, a personal 'meet and greet' with our Headteacher, food tasting and an overview/display of key subjects such as English, Maths and Computing.  Mr Curtis, our LGB (Local Governing Body) Chairman was also in attendance to answer questions regarding the role of  school governance.  We received very positive feedback.  Well done to all of the children - we are very proud of you. Many thanks to the PTA for refreshments.

British Science Week - March 2017

The whole school celebrated British Science Week by carrying out lots of different experiments.  KS1 were given just three materials; cardboard, spaghetti and playdough to construct a bridge.  Year 3 and 4 investigated liquids, solids and gases and the changes that happen when changes are made to their initial state.  Year 5 and 6 took part in the citizen project 'Penguin Watch'.  We were also delighted to welcome Mr Barsby who led an assembly about flight and how gliders stay up in the sky without engines.

KS2 School Choir, Young Voices Concert, Genting Arena, Birmingham - 11th January 2016

Choirs range from 4,500 to 8,500 children, all performing at the same time to capacity audiences of friends and family.

Nothing can prepare you for the sound of thousands of children singing in harmony. Young Voices combines the power of singing together as one, with accompaniment from a wide range of musicians and artists, to create an amazing performance.

Every year, schools across the country practise our music in class with their teachers to prepare themselves to take part in these massive concerts.

Remembrance Poppy Displays - October/November 2015

For half-term homework the children were asked to make a poppy.  These wonderful works of art were then taken to Morrisons Supermarket in Lutterworth to help make a display.  Many thanks to all the children for their spectacular contribution to support such a worthy cause.

Our beautiful work displayed.
