Leicestershire County Council, the Local Authority, is responsible for the control of the admission of pupils to our school and this is co-ordinated by the Local Authority using a common application form and timetable.  Our school has a Pupil Admission Number (PAN) set by the Local Authority which is 40 pupils per year group.  John Wycliffe Primary School follows the Local Authority Admissions Policy.


First Time Admission – The Local Authority deadline for parents wishing to apply for their child to start school in September is the 15TH JANUARY of that year. You can apply online at or fill out a paper application form available from the school office.  All parents who have applied will be sent a letter, in the April to tell them which school they have been offered.  If a parent has applied online they will also receive an email.

Applying for an In Year admission – If your child is already at school and you wish to apply for a school place, use the link above to apply on line, fill out a paper application form available from the school office or print your own form by downloading the form by clicking here.
