JWPS Admissions Policy

IPAT (Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust), the admission authority for John Wycliffe Primary School, has delegated admission decisions to individual schools in the trust.  At present, JWPS follows the Leicestershire County Council Admissions Policy, meaning that admissions are co-ordinated by the Local Authority using a common application form and timetable.  Our school has a Pupil Admission Number (PAN) of 45 pupils, set by IPAT.  

Applying for an In Year Admissions – If your child is already at school and you are thinking of moving them to us, or you are moving into the area, please call is on 01455 553135 to see if we have any places available. You can also book a tour of the school by speaking to Ms Lawson.

First Time Admission – The Local Authority closing date for parents wishing to apply for their child to start school in September is the 15TH JANUARY of that year. You can apply online at or fill out a paper application form available from the School Office. (disclaimer:We have no control over the content of external websites)

All parents who have applied will be sent a letter, in the April to tell them which school they have been offered.  If a parent has applied online they will also receive an email.
